Flight at Lower Levels Safety Through Awareness
is the first book to address the problems of aircraft flight at levels close to ground. John Freeman,
who has spent most of his career in low-level flight, writes for general aviation pilots. He reminds us
that most accidents are caused by collision with the ground or objects on the ground and promotes safety
through awareness of the pitfalls of lower-level flight. 100 pages.
"This book has been long in coming and gives a qualified insight into the hazards you must be aware of
during low-level flight." Chris Sperou, display pilot and Australian Aerobatic Champion. |

Flight at Lower Levels Safety in the Circuit
by John Freeman. This "plane" language guide to landing techniques is for those who are ready to move
beyond the boundaries of "sanitized" flying. After learning to fly from secondary fields, where there's a bit
more room for landing and take-off errors, it's time to learn safety through precision. 86 pages.
"This book projects the knowledge gleaned over many years by a highly experienced pilot with first-hand
experience in operating in and out of marginal landing areas." Chris Sperou, display pilot and
Australian Aerobatic Champion. |

Then reading it again will help you prepare for your next lesson.
If you have a friend or relative who's always wanted to fly, this book is a perfect way to help get them
started. 68 pages. |

In Safe Hands The How and Why of Airline Travel
by David Robson. A common-sense discussion of commercial air travel, especially for those who have any
anxiety when they board an airliner. Also useful as a reference for cabin crew who are asked by nervous
passengers to explain what's happening on a flight. This book explains all those "things that go 'bump' in
the flight".
A great gift for anyone you know who worries about airline travel. They'll be able to rest assured that it's
the safest form of long-distance travel and sit back and enjoy the inflight service! 96 pages. |

Three Points Flying a Tailwheel Aircraft
by David Robson. During World War II, heavier payloads and longer runways led to the adoption of the nosewheel
configuration for most aircraft. Before that, tailwheels were standard, and that's still called the
"conventional" undercarriage.
The tailwheel configuration is lighter, simpler, offers less drag and is better suited to rough-field
operations. But it does place extra demands on a pilot during takeoff and landing, especially in strong
winds. This book will introduce you to both the pressures and the pleasures of flying a tail-dragger!
