There has been much talk, ideas and actions on how COPA Flights and Members can raise additional funds for the "Freedom to Fly Fund" (formally the "Special Action Fund")
If your COPA Flight is looking to do raise additional funds for this great cause, here are 3 interesting ways:
Silent Auctions at a Fall function are a great way to raise funds. We have 3 ideas that will really work, especially in the spirit of Celebrating 100 Years of Flight In Canada:
1) Buy a 23 " X 17 1/2" print of the Silver Dart (unframed) and have it framed locally. At the COPA Convention in Springbank, Alberta in July, 2009 we raised $899.00 on a roughly $220. investment.
2) Buy a Silver Dart model and do a silent auction. Roughly a $225. investment
3) Buy 5 packs of A.E.A. Silver Dart Christmas Cards, with the commemorative stamps affixed to each envelope.....and do a silent auction. Roughly a $180. investment.
The "Freedom to Fly Fund" helps to preserve our right to fly in Canada! Please support this cause anyway that you can.
